Mer is a leading European EV charging company with business units in Norway, Sweden, Germany, and UK. Our mission is to make sustainable electric mobility easy and accessible for everyone. We are now looking to recruit a Frontend/Backend Developer.
Mer is active in all charging segments from public, work-place, depot, on-street, to home charging. We have a leading position in Norway and Sweden, and a growing position in Germany and the UK. The group is a result of targeted acquisitions and consolidation of successful charging start-ups in four countries and has an expansive European strategy. The companies operate independently, but recently centralized its IT employees under one umbrella. The Mer Group is owned by the Norwegian company Statkraft, Europe's largest renewable energy producer. As a part of Mer you will be working with enthusiastic, skilled and ambitious people who care about future generations.
What are your tasks and responsibilities?
Develop our customer and partner web portals that electrify our users
Develop our backend services empowering the web frontends your are working on
Write clear and maintainable code
Collaborate closely with the team’s IT Product Manager and other specialists on shaping our customers’ experience
Collaborate with and guide your team members in technical discussions, pair programming, code reviews, and whiteboard sessions
Present your work to our stakeholders in company wide reviews
Who are you?
You own a degree in Computer Science or similar and you have professional experience in implementing web frontends (using React.js and Typescript) as well as in Java development – having experience in the field of ev charging is a plus.
You are trained in technologies like Java and Spring Boot
You are either familiar with other technologies like auth0, ElasticSearch, etc. or you are eager to learn to work with it.
You deeply care about the quality of your work.
You are able to communicate in a precise and effective manner and in good English and German
You possess an agile mindset, fast to adapt to constant changes and comfortable with it.
You enjoy working in teams, solving problems together, learning about new technology, and sharing your learnings with others.
