IT Project Manager

Mer is a leading European EV charging company with business in Norway, Sweden, UK, Germany, and Austria. Our mission is to make sustainable electric mobility easy and accessible for everyone. The group is a result of targeted acquisitions of successful charging start-ups and has an expansive European growth strategy, both organic and structural. Mer is fully owned by Norwegian Statkraft, Europe’s largest provider of renewable energy. We are now looking for an experienced IT Project manager to lead IT projects in the Mer group.

In your role as IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading, and delivering IT and technology development projects based on innovative business development initiatives and customer centricity. To support new services, dedicated IT development projects are put in place to deliver outstanding customer experience. A high level of innovation is expected in the coming years, as well as a further standardization of systems and protocols across the industry.

Key activities will amongst others be:

• Leading, delivering and following business development, technology and IT development projects
• Identifying needs, writing requirements, communicating with internal architects and managing vendors to delivering projects
• Agile project management and sprint follow up for internal and external resources
• Setting project goals and coming up with plans to meet those goals, maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports, organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress
• Examples of upcoming project areas: dynamic load balancing, smart charging, auto-charge / Plug-and-charge, vehicle-to-grid, virtual powerplant, carbon footprint and many more.

We think you have a profile like this:

• Excellent project management and leadership skills for managing projects with external and internal resources
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical topics
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues during project completion
• Innovative and flexible to initiate and manage changes when projects need to pivot
• Great commercial and innovative mindset, adept at using both agile, design thinking and quantitative methods to lead projects from inception to delivery
• Strong relationship builder with experience working across growing or large organizations
• Higher business/engineering degree or similar work experience
• 3-5 years working experience with proven results as a project manager
• Excellent proficiency in English. Other languages beneficial: Norwegian, Swedish, German

The role is based in Oslo and will report to our Head of IT Projects. Our IT&Tech organization is based in Oslo, Helsingborg, Munich, Teisnach and Consett. Some international travel will thus be required.
